The Dhol is a primarily Punjabi instrument that dates back to the 15th century. Today, Dhol has become very popular among music and dance lovers globally.
Primarily, DHOL playing is used for wedding occasions at the time of Baarat, Receptions, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Community and Corporate Events. SIMDA can teach you to play the Dhol at such events and DJ Events.
Dhol being a folk instrument has had no set methods and theory of teaching in the past. But SIMDA, through
its years of experience in Indian musical instruments and arts, has developed a systematic syllabus to train
the students.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are offered on a one to one basis on Dhol. We have found that private one on one instruction allows students to progress at their own pace and gain the best understanding of Dhol. Students are encouraged to start Dhol lessons after the age of ten. Prior to that age, a mix of music, Tabla and Dhol is recommended.
However, it all depends upon the capability of the student. Students may start lessons at any time of the
year or month, so there's no reason to wait to get started.

fun, relaxed, format with a strong emphasis on teamwork and support from your classmates.
All of the important principles covered in our private Dhol lessons will be covered in group classes. These include: pitch and ear training, confidence building, correct technique, stage presentation, audience

Through group Dhol classes, all students will be given the correct warm up techniques and a regimen to
